Frequently Asked Questtions
Marijuana is legal in some states, but contains a higher level of THC than Hemp. THC is the chemical that produces intoxication and a “high.” Hemp is genetically the same species as Marijuana, but to meet legal requirements set forth under the Farm Bill of 2018, it must contain less than 3% THC, so it is incapable of producing a state of intoxication or a “high.” Licensed Hemp Growers such as The Endocannabis Company must have state licensed inspectors test their crops prior to harvest to verify that the crop is under the 3% THC limit.
Both Marijuana and Hemp produce other cannabinoids, such as CBD and terpenes, which have beneficial effects on the body’s endocannabinoid system, influencing and mediating pain, anxiety, the immune system, energy, and virtually every other bodily system.
CBD is legal in all 50 states, but in states where Marijuana is not legal, CBD is only legal if it is derived from Hemp plants rather than Marijuana plants.
Yes, in at least some instances CBD can interfere with medications. Therefore you should ask your doctor if CBD will interfere with any prescriptions you may have.
The FDA advises against using CBD or Marijuana during pregnancy.
Yes, unless you are taking CBD in isolate form. Isolate form means that all other cannabinoids, such as THC, have been removed. If you take a broad spectrum product, there will likely still be a low level of THC present, and it’s possible for the THC to flag a positive on a drug test. The Endocannabis Company does not yet offer a CBD isolate and cautions all customers that our product is full spectrum and, as such, contains traces of all cannabinoids, including THC.
Most definitely! All vertebrates have an Endocannabinoid System and can benefit from a CBD isolate or CBD Broad Spectrum product. Similar effects are reported in animals compared to humans.
“A loophole in Wisconsin State Law currently prohibits hemp products grown in Wisconsin from being sold for animal use. The purchase of hemp products grown in another state is currently legal to be sold in Wisconsin for animal consumption. Clearly, this situation does not make much sense. If/when this law is changed, The Endocannabis Company will offer animal products.”
